What is Cerakote?
Cerakote is a ceramic based coating that is applied very thin to provide the utmost best protection against corrosion, chemicals, atmospheric conditions and overall use.
How tough is Cerakote?
Like anything else Cerakote is NOT indestructible. It will however outperform most coatings in corrosion resistance, durability, high heat and availability in colors and patterns. Like anything else it will give back what you put into it so lets not go throwing it across the range and expecting a scratch not to happen. Cerakote will generally last the life of the weapon under moderate use. Heavy users and daiy holster withdrawals will take a toll as it is only as durable as the substrate it is on.
Can you Cerakote things other than metal or Scopes?
Yes and mostly Yes. We can cerakote a variety of materials including metals, glass, plastics, polymers, wood and more. If it is extremely temperature sensative we will utilize Cerakotes C series which is an air dry no bake coation. We coat many scopes, red dots, sights and more. On very budget friendly scopes such as a $49 scope we recommend not doing it. We can also match the rings, acessories. Andzszz
How long does it take?
This all depends on our workload at the current time. On one color jobs already stripped we usually 3-5 days as we try to spray like jobs together. We just reopened and got pretty behind on our workload due to inspections. On stencil and multi color jobs expect about 3 weeks as of March 10th 2023. Usually we are half that.
How much does it cost?
Please see our price sheet on this website as it lists most pricing. Do not see what your looking for? Just shoot us a message or call.
